Woodworking FABLab Courses

Woodworking 101
This class teaches the basic operational safety procedures of woodworking and using woodworking tools. The proper use of woodworking tools is taught and students demonstrate their learning by creating their own cutting boards by the end of the class.

  • Class 1 – parts of board, ¬†joints, gluing & clamping
  • Class 2 – Hand tools including sanding basics, disk sanders, belt sanders, routers & router bits
  • Class 3 – Radial arm saw and jointer
  • Class 4 – Table saw
  • Class 5 – Sanding machines including edge sander, spindle sander, and drum sander
  • Class 6 – Band saw and jig saw
  • Class 7 – Dril press, drill bits, & laser cutting
